Yeaseul Kim is a classical pianist and piano teacher based in Los Angeles. She began playing at five, trained at Sunhwa Arts Middle and High School, one of the most prestigious arts schools in South Korea, and earned her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in piano performance at Ewha Womans University, graduating with honors and second in piano performance in her class.

In 2012 she moved to the United States. Offered scholarships to the Graduate Performance Diploma programs at New England Conservatory and Peabody Conservatory, she chose instead to go straight to doctoral study, completing a Doctor of Musical Arts at The Catholic University of America in Washington, D.C., in 2018 on a full scholarship.

Her repertoire spans solo works, chamber music and concertos. She has appeared as a soloist with the Catholic University Symphony Orchestra and the Ewha Womans University Orchestra, and performed at the Washington International Piano Festival at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts. She has also served as staff pianist for the Texas Medical Center Orchestra and the Center for Performing Arts Medicine at Houston Methodist Hospital.

She has run a private studio for more than ten years, teaching beginners through advanced students, children through adults. She is a full member of the Music Teachers' Association of California (MTAC).
